Regal Cutting Tools Twist Drills

Twist drills are rotary cutting tools normally having two cutting edges and two flutes, which are grooves formed in the body to provide cutting lips to permit the removal of chips and to allow coolant or cutting fluid to reach the cutting action.

Twist Drill Options

  • Jobber Drills – Straight shank drills suitable for general purpose applications. This category includes bright, treated, TiN coated drills to machine a variety of materials. Heavy duty split point drills, high-helix and para-flute jobber drills along with cobalt bits meet the needs of most machinists.
  • Screw Machine Length Drills – Designed for use in screw machines and where a short rigid drill is recommended. A bright, smooth surface improves chip ejection and the medium helix construction provides a stable drilling condition.
  • Carbide Drill Bits – Designed for industrial use in materials such as cast iron, nonferrous heavy metal and other abrasive materials. Carbide drill bits maintain a sharp cutting edge longer than HSS or Cobalt and are run at higher speed rates as they absorb heat more efficiently.
  • Cobalt Drill Bits – Made from premium cobalt steel to provide superior hardness and resistance to abrasion, these drills bits provide longer tool life than ordinary cobalt drills, which reduces the cost per hole drilled. These drill bits are designed for drilling tough and abrasive materials, high temperature alloys and stainless and heat treated high strength steels.
